TCNAMS

TCNAMS - Training Center Network and Asset Management System

Background

TCNAMS is a product offered by FCSI that leverages years of successful development of GE Energy's Physical Network Inventory (PNI). PNI is currently being successfully utilized by the electrical and telecommunications industries to manage their complex networks. Not unlike the electrical and telecommunications networks, training centers are comprised of the same types of elements found in those industries.

Key Benefits

  • Debugging - The current method of debugging your training center is a hit or miss endeavor. Identifying the real cause for several non operating components can take hours or days. All of which means unnecessary downtime of crucial training systems. TCNAMS helps you identify the cause of the problem sooner by doing multiple traces along the power, cabling, and ethernet networks and identifying the common points of failure.
  • Load Balancing - Are some of your components or training systems not performing up to specifications? It could be caused by overloading the bandwidth or power supply. TCNAMS gives you the ability to identify where you training center components may be pushing the infrastructure past its design specifications.
  • Planning - Are you confident your training center can handle those new simulators on order? You can use TCNAMS to model the new equipment before it comes in and determine if your infrastructure can support it. Using the load balancing functionality, you can include the new equipment into your network model before it arrives and identify any overloaded components.

Options

  • Work Plan Generation - You can use TCNAMS to identify a step by step instruction work plan to attach your new equipment onto the training center's network.
